Biography

Richard G. Mingey, following the
footsteps of his Grandfather, Richard G. Kelly and Uncle,
Richard Kelly Jr., is carrying on with the same ceaseless
commitment and dedication in the building industry; standards
which have been furthered by his active participation in
National, State and Local Home Building Organizations. Mr.
Mingey served as President of the Homebuilders Association of
Chester and Delaware Counties in 2002. Additionally, Mr.
Mingey is a past board member of the Pennsylvania Housing
Finance Agency which provides funding for affordable housing
development in Pennsylvania. He also serves as Chairman of the
Voice of Housing Committee for Chester and Delaware Counties.
For fun, in his spare time, he enjoys coaching sports for local
youth teams.

Tradition
The Kelly Group has a well earned
reputation for their communities of fine homes. In 1925, Richard
G. Kelly embarked on his career as a builder. Over a half
century and thousands of homes later, rugged individualism and
quality construction continues as the motivating theme of The
Kelly Group. The effect is obvious in the fine architectural
design, incomparable value and family supervised construction of
each Kelly-Built home.
The Kelly Group has a deep respect
for the land. Their homes are a part of the land, blending into
the landscape, taking full advantage of the natural beauty of
the land. This dedication for the preservation of nature is
beautifully evident at Maugers Mill Estates, The Village of
Shannon and Woodbrook Estates. The homes and streets in these
communities are planned to blend into the natural contours of
the land. By reducing grades, saving existing trees, creating
safe more pleasant curves in the roads, the Kelly-Built
communities lend more space and privacy for outdoor living.

Hands on Builder

Award Winning Builder
The Al Goldstein Distinguished Service Award is coveted by the members of The Home Builder’s Association of Chester and
Delaware Counties. Richard G. Mingey (pictured above) received this award in 2008. It is given to an HBA member who has
demonstrated leadership in the HBA of Chester & Delaware Counties through business success, charitable endeavors and
commitment of time, financial resources and expertise in the government and political issues affecting the building industry.
Interestingly, Richard’ s uncle, Richard G. Kelly, Jr., received the same award in 1994.
